The Ibero-American Road Safety Programme is made up of the Intergovernmental Council, the Executive Committee, the Technical Unit, the Advisory Commission and the Permanent Commission of Data Coordinators.
Intergovernmental Council
The Intergovernmental Council is the highest authority of the Programme, and is responsible for defining its objectives, results and activities, as well as deciding on its operation and organisation.
The Intergovernmental Council of the Programme is made up of the highest national officials in matters of road safety in the member countries who have been designated by the competent national authority. These persons are called REPPI: Representatives of the countries in the Programmes and Initiatives.
The REPPI must contribute and actively participate in the management of the Programme and in the development of the activities, committing the financial, technical, human and material resources necessary for its proper functioning.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is primarily responsible for monitoring the execution of the Annual Operating Plans, reporting to the Intergovernmental Council on a regular basis.
The Executive Committee will be made up of the President of the Intergovernmental Council and four (4) members of the Intergovernmental Council.
Technical Unit
The Technical Unit is responsible for the execution of the operating plans approved by the Intergovernmental Council and for ensuring the smooth running of the Program.
The Technical Unit will be headed by a Technical Secretary.
Permanent Commission of Data Coordinators
This is the meeting of the national road safety data officers of each country. The Coordinators systematize the information reporting in each of the countries. They provide the national data and indicators for the Ibero-American Road Safety Report.
